Setting Up Pre-QC
Pre-QC is QC Tool’s AI-powered pre-flight check system. It analyses uploaded files before human review begins.
What Pre-QC checks
- Dimension and resolution errors — Wrong pixel dimensions, DPI, or bleed size
- Colour profile issues — Wrong colour space (e.g. RGB instead of CMYK)
- Naming convention violations — Files that don’t match the required pattern
- Brand compliance — Misused logos, wrong brand colours
- Technical quality — Compression artefacts, low-resolution areas
Configuring Pre-QC
Open Pre-QC Settings
Navigate to Master → Pre-QC Settings.

| Resolution | Minimum DPI (e.g. 300 for print) |
| Colour profile | Required profile (CMYK, RGB) |
| Brand compliance | Upload reference brand assets |

Result severity levels
| Level | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pass | No issues found |
| Warning | Minor issue — worth reviewing |
| Fail | Critical issue — needs correction |
Pre-QC runs automatically after file upload if configured for the batch’s media category.
Low-confidence findings are automatically downgraded to Warning level to reduce false positives. Warnings are informational and will not automatically fail a file.
