Setting Up Pre-QC

Pre-QC is QC Tool’s AI-powered pre-flight check system. It analyses uploaded files before human review begins.

What Pre-QC checks

  • Dimension and resolution errors — Wrong pixel dimensions, DPI, or bleed size
  • Colour profile issues — Wrong colour space (e.g. RGB instead of CMYK)
  • Naming convention violations — Files that don’t match the required pattern
  • Brand compliance — Misused logos, wrong brand colours
  • Technical quality — Compression artefacts, low-resolution areas

Configuring Pre-QC

Open Pre-QC Settings

Navigate to Master → Pre-QC Settings.

Enable Pre-QC for a category

  1. Click on a media category
  2. Toggle Enable Pre-QC on
  3. Select which check types to enable

Result severity levels

LevelMeaning
PassNo issues found
WarningMinor issue — worth reviewing
FailCritical issue — needs correction

Pre-QC runs automatically after file upload if configured for the batch’s media category.

Low-confidence findings are automatically downgraded to Warning level to reduce false positives. Warnings are informational and will not automatically fail a file.
